TV Time alternative: FAQ
What happened to TV Time?
TV Time announced on July 1, 2026 that it would shut down, and the service closed on July 15, 2026. Its company said the app was no longer sustainable as a free app. User data was deleted after the closure.
Is Suite TV the new TV Time?
Yes, that is what it was made for. Suite TV keeps what people loved about TV Time, the simple tracking, Up Next, the comments under every episode, and improves it: exact air times, rewatch rounds, ratings from several sources, translated comments and much more. Your TV Time history and the TV Time comments come with you.
Can I still import my TV Time data?
Yes, if you saved an export before July 15, 2026: the GDPR zip, the CSV export, or a file from the TV Time Out or TV Time Liberator extensions. Open Settings > Data > Import my library in Suite TV and choose the file. TV Time no longer provides new exports.
I did not export my data in time. What can I do?
TV Time deleted its data after the closure, so there is no official export left. In Suite TV you can rebuild your library quickly: search a show, then mark every episode watched up to where you stopped in one tap.
Where can I find the old TV Time comments?
In Suite TV. Thanks to the TV Time Archive community project, 30 million historical TV Time comments are available in the app, under their episodes, shows and movies.
Is Suite TV free?
Yes. Tracking, import, calendar, notifications, widgets, sync between devices, social features, ratings, stats and discovery are free. Suite TV Gold is an optional subscription for personalisation that also removes ads.
Does Suite TV work on iPhone and Android?
Yes: iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later, and Android 8.0 or later. Your library syncs between your devices, and the website lets you browse every show and movie.
Can I leave Suite TV with my data?
Yes. Settings > Data > Export my data gives you your library, comments and profile in one file. Other apps, such as Bingers, already read it.
