Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Suite (“Suite TV”) collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to the mobile app and the associated website.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Nicolas Bordeaux, 59 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France. For any question regarding your data: contact@suitetv.app.
2. Data we collect
Identity: your email address, provided directly at sign-up or by the provider you chose (Apple or Google). With “Sign in with Apple,” you may opt for Apple's private relay address. A username and display name if you set one.
Usage data: shows and movies you follow, episodes marked as watched and their dates, favorites, lists, ratings, emotions, and comments you post.
Technical data: account identifier, device token for sending notifications, and technical logs needed for operation and security.
Subscription data, if you subscribe to Suite TV Gold: the tier, the subscription status, the originating store, the product identifier, the billing period, and the expiry date. No payment data, card number, or billing address is shared with us: the transaction is handled by Apple or Google.
Advertising data, where advertising is shown in the app: the device advertising identifier, the ads seen and interactions with them, and technical diagnostic information. This data is collected and processed by the advertising provider, not by us. See the "Advertising" section.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Providing and syncing the Service (tracking, lists, comments): performance of the contract formed by the Terms.
Sending release notifications for episodes/movies: your consent (system notification permission), which you can withdraw at any time.
Managing your Suite TV Gold subscription and granting access to the corresponding options: performance of the contract.
Ensuring security, preventing abuse, and improving the Service: the publisher's legitimate interest.
4. Recipients and processors
Supabase: database and authentication hosting.
Apple: “Sign in with Apple,” push notifications (APNs), and app distribution.
Google: “Sign in with Google,” push notifications (FCM), app distribution, and the advertising network (see the “Advertising” section).
RevenueCat: subscription management. This processor receives a pseudonymous account identifier and the receipt information provided by the store, in order to determine whether your subscription is active. It receives neither your email address nor your tracking data.
Apple and Google: processing of the subscription payment, acting as controllers for the transaction, under their own privacy policies.
Vercel: website hosting.
TheTVDB: provider of show/movie metadata. No personal data is shared with them.
TV Community Archive (tvtime-archive.com): provider of the historical comments displayed in the app. We send them a pseudonymous technical identifier, derived from your account identifier through a keyed hash function that only we hold, so that they can measure usage and enforce their limits. This identifier contains neither your email nor your username, and does not allow them to identify you. No other data about you is shared with them.
Your comments and username may be visible to other users of the Service (community features).
5. Advertising
The app may display advertising provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). This is rolled out gradually and does not affect all users.
Suite TV Gold subscribers see no advertising.
Data sent to the provider: the device advertising identifier, the ads seen and interactions with them, and technical diagnostic information. It is used to display ads, cap how often they repeat, measure their effectiveness and detect ad fraud. We do not send the provider your email address, your username or your tracking data.
Legal basis: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, your consent, collected through a form shown before the first ad. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy → Consent preferences.
On iOS, access to the advertising identifier also depends on the system tracking permission. You can change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Declining does not prevent you from using the app: ads are then non-personalised, or not shown at all.
Google's information on advertising data processing: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Archived third-party content
The app may display comments originally posted on TV Time, a service that shut down on 15 July 2026, made available to us by TV Community Archive, an independent third-party archive service. These comments do not come from our users, and their authors are anonymised at the source: we receive no account identifier, no email address and no real username for them.
We retain this content for the sole purpose of displaying it in the app, and we do not pass it on to any third party.
If you are the author of such a comment and would like it to stop being displayed, write to contact@suitetv.app stating the title concerned and the text of the comment. We will stop serving it within 30 days.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
Some processors (e.g. Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Vercel) may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (e.g. the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).
8. Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can erase it at any time from within the app (Settings → Data → “Erase my library”), which deletes your tracking data on the device and on the server. Some data may be retained on a limited basis where required by law.
Subscription data is kept for as long as your account exists, so that your access can be restored if you reinstall or change device, and is deleted along with the account. It is not erased by “Erase my library”, which covers only your tracking data.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection to the processing of your data.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@suitetv.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).
10. Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account directly from the app: Settings → Delete my account.
The request takes effect immediately: you are signed out and can no longer sign back in. Data is then permanently deleted automatically, within 7 days.
Deleted: your profile (username, display name, picture, banner, bio), the series and films you follow, your watched episodes and watch dates, your lists, your ratings, your emotions, your comments, your social follows and your device tokens.
May be retained: anything the law requires us to keep, and transaction records held by Apple or Google, which we do not hold and which fall under their own policies.
To erase your tracking data WITHOUT deleting your account: Settings → Data → "Clear my library". This removes your series, films and watched episodes, on the device and on the server, and keeps your account and profile.
If you can no longer access the app, write to contact@suitetv.app from the address linked to the account. We handle the request within 30 days.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted per user at the database level (row-level security). As no system is infallible, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
12. Cookies
The website uses only strictly necessary functional cookies (e.g. remembering your language). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
13. Minors
The Service is not intended for people under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us with data without authorization, contact us for its deletion.
14. Changes
This policy may be updated. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.
